What to Eat in London
Back in September 2019, I went with my Mom and my Husband to do a short little Europe Trip and of course London was one of the stops! I have now been to London 5 times and I will eventually get a more expansive list going. Today I am just going to share a few of my favorite spots we went to that year.
Breakfast
Coppa Club is located right by Tower Bridge so you are guaranteed great views of that part of the City. From where I sat I could see both the Tower Bridge and The Shard! I recommend making a reservation as soon as you possibly can. This was my first time going to some of the more popular restaurants in London so I just tried to make a reservation once I arrived. Unfortunately I was unable to book the Paradise Pods so I opted for breakfast in the restaurant. We ended up taking an Uber and were over 45 minutes late to our reservation! However, it really worked out for us! The lady who we spoke to once we got there said we could absolutely sit in a Paradise Pod, day made!
What We Ate:
I had the Crispy Coppa Bendedict and a latte. My husband had the Skillet Breakfast, which is you see in the photo’s above, was a huge plate.
EggBreak is located in Notting Hill, which happens to be one of my favorite districts in London! It’s the perfect spot for a weekend Brunch and is near all the beautiful colored houses of the area. It’s a little bit on the smaller side so you will likely have a bit of a wait, trust me it’s worth it! I ordered the Calabrian Eggs and my Husband ordered the Eggbreak Benny. Both of our meals were so delicious!
Dinner
Sketch London was very high on my list of places to see. I made a reservation ahead of time as I knew how popular this place was. What I didn’t pay to attention to was that you are required to have 3 courses a person and I’m not going to lie, it was pricey! This is for dinner in the highly instagrammed Gallery. I recommend if you don’t want to spend that much, book an afternoon tea or go to one of the smaller rooms. If you can splurge I couldn’t recommend this place enough! Not only was the food phenomenal, the bathrooms were amazing too! (Where else can you say that!?). Once you ascend the stairs, left for the gentlemen, right for the ladies you will see some egg-shaped pods and a very colorful ceiling. If you find an open pod, just walk on in and close the door. While you are in the toilet, you will hear sounds and it’s a sensory experience. Even if you don’t have to “go,” I would say just walk on up to snap some photos and catch a glimpse of what I would say, is the coolest “loo” I have ever seen!
What we ate
Being that we were required to order 3 things each, we opted for 2 entrees and lot’s of sides and salads. As well as 2 desserts. And let me tell you, every single thing I ate was so good that I didn’t mind the hefty bill. We had an incredible steak, bone marrow, mashed potatoes, salad, macaroons, a chocolate dessert and so much more!
Now let us take a look at the famous bathroom!
Sketch London has it all. A pink room perfect for afternoon tea or dinner, the coolest restrooms, an Enchanted Forest room, a Library Room, Space Bar and a Parlour Room. Your experience here could be endless!
Ffionas restaurant in Kensington truly was a hidden gem! it has a great menu with so many good options. I opted for the Chicken Kiev, since the menu says it’s probably the best in the world!
With my dinner I enjoyed one of there many delicious sounding cocktails. I chose the Macau Fizz with Prosecco and Lychee as the main ingredients.
One of the other places we went to for dinner was Taqueria. Unfortunately I do not have any photos to share, but if you clink on the link you’ll find some super appetizing food photos! I chose the Al Pastor Tacos and they did not disappoint!
As I said in the beginning of this post, I will definitely have a more expansive list in the future.
Let me know if you have any recommendations for food in London!
